How 'Dey Started it all

Opelousas, Louisiana established in 1720 signage.

A True Cajun From Da' Bayou

Who is Chef Luck? Our founder, Michael Sylvester was born and raised a cajun in Opelousas, Louisiana. Raised on authentic cajun and creole recipes passed down through the family through generations, he always enjoyed learning to cook them all. After all, Cajuns love to cook! In 1990, Michael moved to Colorado with his mother and quickly realized the lack of good cajun food. There was no crawfish available in the grocery stores, no gumbo roux base, no Cajun food seasoning or Creole food seasoning in the supermarkets and almost no cajun food restaurants in the Denver Metro Area.

DJ Lucky Luck, born Michael Sylvester, is a Louisiana born, Denver based DJ and concert promoter.

Who is Chef Luck?

Chef Luck aka DJ Lucky Luck is a Denver based DJ and concert promoter that has toured with, DJed for, and/or produced/co-produced concerts for artists such as Snow Tha Product, Twista, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Tyga, Lil Flip, Devin The Dude, Juvenile, Gorilla Zoe, Triple 6 Mafia and more! Through the many events DJ Lucky Luck hosted he has sampled many cajun food recipes on the event menus. After receiving raving reviews it was decided it must be made available to everyone! Now everyone can cook like Luck!

A Touch Of Luck Seasonings was created as merch for DJ Lucky Luck.

Boiled Crawfish poured out at the Mardi Gras in May Festival in Dacono, CO.

How did it all start?

Excited to share his cajun food cuisine with the world, DJ Lucky Luck started to offer authentic cajun dishes to event patrons. From crawfish boils to gumbo cook-offs, he built his name for also being a bada** chef! Annual Mardi Gras events were an opportunity to try jambalaya, Po Boys, and gumbo. Northern Colorado enjoyed beignets, gumbo and even smoked gator at the first ever Mardi Gras in May event in Dacono, CO.  "It has long been a dream to share my authentic cajun dishes with the world. Then Covid. It was then it was decided to make the recipes available for everyone to cook at home."
