Ever Had A Beignet?

Other World Famous establishments such as Cafe Du Monde has built a following for beignets and coffee by the Mississippi River.

Now You Can Make Them In 30min.

Now you no longer need to travel to

Louisiana to partake in this delicious treat. Make beignets in as little as 30 minutes with this easy to follow recipe.

Beignets From Biscuits

Introducing, a fast and easy way to make delicious beignets in 30 minutes with only three ingredients.

Easy Beignets from biscuits recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 can Buttermilk Flaky Layer Biscuits
  • Vegetable oil
  • Powdered sugar

How To Make Easy Beignets From Biscuits (Cast Iron Skillet)

Preheat oil to 350 degrees: Fill a cast iron skillet with roughly 2 inches of oil. You want enough oil to deep fry the beignets. Heat the oil on medium temp until the oil reaches 350 degrees. (candy thermometers work great)

Prepare The Biscuits To Be Beignets

On cutting board, cut each biscuit into quarters. Shape each quarter into beignet shape by gently rolling the dough with your hands. This helps seal the edges of the dough to brace for the oil.

Time 'Fa Fryin'

When the oil is nice and hot and reaches 350 degrees, you're ready to go! Drop in the biscuit quarters now referred to as beignet dough in the hot oil. Fry beignets for 1.5 minutes, flip and cook for another 1.5 minutes. The beignets should have floated to the top of the oil, not laying at the bottom of the skillet. Remove beignets from oil and place on a baker's cooling rack with paper towels underneath to catch the oil drain off.

Sprinkle That Powdery Goodness

While the beignets are still warm, sprinkle powdered sugar generously on top.

(It is important to sprinkle the powdered sugar on them while they are still warm!)

ENJOY!

How To Make Easy Beignets From Biscuits (Air Fryer Method)

Beignets from Biscuits can be made in the air fryer.

First, you must line the basket with parchment paper. Preheat air fryer to 320 degrees. Follow the dough prep directions above. Cook beignets at 320 degrees for 4-6 minutes. Flip beignets and cook for another 4-6 minutes. Remove from air fryer and place on a baking tray. Sprinkle powdered sugar generously atop the beignets while they are warm.
